My Thanksgiving Recipe for you

How to cook a Turkey

Step 1: Tenderize the meat

Run 1 hour in the Palm Springs heat

Step 2: Season the meat

Immediately following the run swim for an hour

Step 3: Cook the meat

Immediately following the swim complete a 20 -> 1 burpee ladder

Substitute rowing or cycling for swimming if needed.
If you prefer your meat extra tender consider increasing the run or swim times.
Works for most types of animals (fowl, swine, etc)
Aggressive German Shepard supervising reps optional.

And in the spirit of Thanksgiving I am thankful for
- solid training partners
- solid climbing partners
- patient and understanding gym owners gracious enough to let me use their space and equipment (many thanks!)
- excellent coaches providing me programming to make a 40+ hour work week project manager an okay climber

See you in the gym

More South Fork Love

So my friend Doug (who I went to the Ruth Gorge with earlier this year) was in Cody, WY not only last weekend (when I was there) but the weekend before... if only I lived as close as he does!

He put together this great video of the routes he was on... some of the same ones Craig and I climbed.

Better Late Than Never?

I took two trips to Alaska earlier this year: the first one was to the Ruth Gorge

On that trip I met Tim and Jared (team Bacon Pancake as I called them but that is another story)... I reconnected with Tim over the weekend and he sent along these two pics:

Depending on how good your eyes are in the second photo if you look really close you will see two dots in the snow a little below half way in the picture... that is Doug and I on The Escalator route on Mt Johnson.

And as you can see in the first pic the only thing bigger than my grin are the mountains :)

Cant wait to go back!
